We at Spirufarm have a long experience in organic farming, a passion for the world of microalgae, a great sense of social and environmental responsibility and trust in technological innoations capable of improving the quality of work and life. We dream of seeing our Spireat spirulina on the table of all families.

Our history

2015

Our journey begins.
We won the Make a Change contest and that was the beginning of our project.

2016

Spireat spirulina is launched in the form of Flakes with minimum product processing to maintain unchanged quality and properties of the product.

2017

Our team is growing. The concept of “food innovation” is introduced. New products are launched in line with our corporate values and we win the “Impact Hub” in Milan.

2018

We attend exhibitions and congresses all around Italy and in partnership with the Milan Politecnico Institute of Technology, we put in place Struna.

OUR PRODUCTION

We have created an innovative process to grow spirulina.

Our production process is inspired by the main principles of the circular economy: by integrating into a process which is already in place, the process recovers heat from biogas production, an energy that would otherwise be wasted, and captures twice as much CO2 as its weight. Co-products are re-used as fertilisers in our cereals fields, in a virtuous agricultural model with no waist and 0 impacts!
