Refreshing, regenerating, full of well-being. In summer a sorbet is a pleasure at the end of a meal or as a snack. Try this original recipe: with spirulina, you will also bring vitamins and many important elements to your diet.
500 ml of water
1 tip of Stevia powder or liquid
Spirulina Spireat powder, to taste
juice of 1 lemon
3 egg whites
Whip the egg whites with a fork. Put the water, egg whites, lemon juice and stevia in a small pot and heat the mix. When it is about to boil, turn off the heat. Cool quickly by immersing the pot in cold water. Transfer the mixture into a low and wide silicone mould and place it in the freezer for at least 3 hours. Then take out the mould from the freezer and extract its contents from the mould. Let it rest for 10 minutes at room temperature, then divide into coarse pieces. Transfer it to the mixing bowl of a food processor with blades. Add the spirulina powder (try with 2 grams, but according to your taste you can increase or decrease the quantity). Blend for 8 seconds at high speed. With a spatula, collect the mixture on the bottom of the bowl, then mix for another 8 seconds at high speed. Open the lid and check the level of creaminess with a spatula. If necessary, blend for another 5 seconds. Your spirulina sorbet is ready.
